The Vantaa logistics cluster accelerates the renewal and growth of companies. The companies in the cooperation network promote the goals of sustainable development, intelligence and value creation and strengthen the best logistics location nationally.

The goal of the logistics cluster is to build Vantaa into an even stronger logistics centre through cooperation. Vantaa invests in the development of logistics connections and the operating environment on a long-term basis. The logistics cluster offers companies unique opportunities for growth and development, as well as promotes close cooperation and smooth flow of information between companies.

What’s happening in the logistics cluster

To support the cluster, two publicly funded projects have been launched:
  • LOBRA (Logistics Laboratory) is a development project implemented in 2025–2027, aiming to strengthen collaboration, innovation and sustainable growth in the logistics sector by developing learning, development and testing environments to support logistics development.
  • Metropolitan UAM is a 2025–2027 urban air mobility development project in the Helsinki metropolitan area, involving the City of Vantaa, the City of Helsinki, Forum Virium Helsinki and VTT. The project develops a new operating model for urban air mobility RDI cooperation and accelerates, among other things, the first-phase U-space development in the region.
In addition, the Kulkee – climate-smart, innovative and energy-efficient transport solutions project is about to start within the cluster. The project aims to create new energy-efficient, low-emission and resource-wise solutions and operating models, and to promote the adoption of clean transition solutions in logistics.
