The event is organized by City of Vantaa in collaboration with Crazy Town and Uusimaa TE-Office.

Talent Hackathon is designed for international talent in Finland - students, recent graduates and those looking for new opportunities

The Talent Hackathon is a two-day hackathon event that focuses on practical learning and networking. Join us to tackle real-life challenges presented by companies in Finland. This event is an excellent opportunity for networking with local employers and enhancing your problem-solving skills!

Real challenges

Work on actual tasks set by companies, providing a practical learning experience.

Apply creative problem-solving skills

Enhance your design thinking and problem-solving abilities that are valued by employers everywhere. No previous hackathon or innovation event experience required - we will help you to achieve your goals!

Networking is the key in Finland

Forge connections with local companies and professionals. You get a chance to showcase your ideas and skills, while working together on company challenges. Maybe you have a possibility to network with your future employer during the event?

Diverse teams

You can join the event as an individual, in which case we will team you up with other talent with multidisciplinary backgrounds, or you can join the event with a ready-made team.

Venue

The Talent Hackathon will be held at Clarion Hotel Aviapolis in Vantaa. Lunch will be provided for all participants!

Facilitation

The event is facilitated by Crazy Town, with support from mentors from our partner companies and organizations. Crazy Town is an experienced hackathon organizer, whose job is to help participants succeed in the event.

ManpowerGroup's challenge: How should companies (especially SMEs) communicate their commitment for sustainability when recruiting new talent? What are your expectations as potential job seekers on sustainability in companies?

Companies of all sizes must prioritize sustainability and adhere to its principles. Especially younger talent wants careers where they can have a positive impact on society. However, Finnish companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, struggle with communicating their commitment to sustainability, making recruiting new talent more difficult. HOLu's challenge: Empowering job seekers for success by enhancing applicant feedback

Join HOLu in addressing a pressing issue in the Finnish job market. Despite the growing demand for talent, many recruiters and employers fail to provide meaningful feedback to applicants, leaving them in the dark about areas for improvement and hindering their professional growth. In their challenge they wanto know how to identify practical solutions that empower recruiters and employers to deliver constructive feedback to job seekers and to bridge the communication gap between the employers and applicants.

ReOrbit's challenge: Envision applications / use cases for ReOrbit product line seven years from now

Today, most satellites operate independently, unaware of each other and unable to share data effectively. Recognising this limitation, ReOrbit focuses on enabling the next generation of space missions characterized by modularity and interconnectivity. Their primary focus is on establishing a networked approach, ensuring that satellites collaborate seamlessly. In other words, the satellites can communicate, not only with the ground stations on Earth but also with each other in-orbit, enabling what we would call the space wide web (sww). On their challenge they are looking for ideas for future of their business - especially regarding target customers, their business model and key partnerships.
